There is something soothing about the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I have CDs with sounds for reducing stress and ocean waves are prevalent.
But the real thing is even better. You have the smell of the sea and the sand beneath your feet that adds to calming effect.
While on vacation at the beach, I love to just close my eyes and let the sound and the feel overwhelm my senses. Bathe me in their beauty and power.
I could relax like that all day.
Whenever I need to get away in my mind, the beach is where I go. I try to imagine the sounds and feelings. The warmth of the sun.
Ah, the beach.

Check out this post to find out more about the Calm My Crazy meme. This weekly post is for me and for you. A place to share our moment of calm. Something that brings us a little peace and happiness in a world of crazy.

I LOVE the sound of the waves. The CD’s are nice, but noting beats the real thing!

You definitely need the other senses involved for maximum effect.

This is totally not “green” of me but when we are away and our hotel is beachfront, I open the slider to the balcony so I can hear the ocean while the A/C is on. It truly is calming.
So happy you had this time with your family!!

Easily could live on the beach. There’s just something so calming about it. Can’t wait till we get back to the beach.

Ahh! Nature’s white noise. I love listening to the waves too. I find it’s calming but also great for soul searching.

Sitting quietly – finding the time and the quiet – is a huge deal! I try. It doesn’t always happen. But I’m working on it. If I don’t quiet the voices in my head, they start fighting with each other.

They get so loud! Must learn to quiet them.
